While in the midst of a heavenly encounter a few years ago, I heard God say that the gates of Heaven were shut to the world. Then He said, “But to you, My daughter, they are open.”
Do you know that as children of God, we have access to (spiritually) walk through the gates of Heaven to obtain divine provision, healing, anointing, protection, and more… whenever we want to?
Why You Can Enter His Gates
First of all, His gates are open to His children. Isaiah 26:2 says, “Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.” We can enter in His kingdom because have Christ (the Truth and His righteousness). But the gates (and what lays beyond them) are closed to the world.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV
On Earth As in Heaven
Jesus told Peter,
“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 KJV
We have these keys too, you know… we have the keys to enter our Lord’s kingdom and loose from it (that’s a very big thing). Of course, we’d have to at least have a muster seed of faith to believe what is available to us in Christ, being that “eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” We cannot possibly think of what Jesus holds for us in His kingdom – it’s simply that amazing. Yet it’s real and right now, and I’m here to tell you that what He holds for you in Heaven can be accessed by you on earth…
Remember, you have the keys from the Master Himself, so you can. But why should you enter in… for what?
The Things You Need
The author of the book of Hebrews said,
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 KJV
There is a principle mentioned there – going to His throne and finding in time of need. He holds what we need. We just have to go get it (enter in His gates). But don’t misunderstand the words I’m using here. Entering Heaven’s gates isn’t mystical or any kind of weirdness – entering in Heaven’s gates is simply a precious concept that God has provided for His children… He holds everything we need and He wants us to come get it.
Now I can’t possibly write of all that there is in Heaven because of course, I don’t know. But by the Bible I have an idea, and through the glimpses I was given from Jesus, I know that in my hour of need, I can access the storehouses of Heaven (which hold what I need!) through prayer and what I pray I know I have received because I ask “according to His will” (see 1 Jhn. 5:14-15).
For example, there is health in Heaven (nothing decays there!) and I know the Lord wants me in health, so when it was needed, I’ve asked for health; I entered in His gates (through prayer) and obtained healing in that moment. I know that there is comfort in Heaven (far beyond what we could imagine!) and that the Lord wants to comfort me, so when I was lonely, I asked for comfort; I entered in His gates (through prayer) and obtained comfort in that hour.
That’s why you should enter in… because in Christ, there are riches to possess and we have needs here on earth. You sometimes cannot obtain what you need in your own power while you’re on earth. But in Christ, you can obtain it. So in confidence, we should enter in His gates because our King wants to give it to us.
But hold up here, I talked a lot about Heaven, haven’t I? Again, don’t misunderstand this. Heaven is the Lord’s. It’s all about Jesus. It’s all for Jesus. It’s all in Jesus. When you’re entering in Heaven, you’re entering His house. And you’re going straight to His throne. Nothing more, yet nothing less of that.
